When you make a drastic choice, you have to live with the end results. Sometimes it ends in the winning lotto and other times it it’s like driving off some cliff. Being a Christian at times, you’ll experience a vast array of nebulous chatter. Most of its meaningless and has no bearing on your life or of any other vagabond that roams the planet. So what can we do when someone mouths off some euphoric spiritual diatribe? What do you do?
I think sometimes we have to give and take and weight out why someone says what they say. It’s easy to listen and be politically correct and have a ‘none response’ and then jump down someone’s throat with your own pathetic self-serving agenda. It seems easier to become militant and hostile if you will? I’m not sure if that’s a great way of dealing with those who have a motor mouth on full steam ahead!
Jack Nicholson said in a Few Good Men, “we use words like honor, code and loyalty and they are the very backbone of what we serve”. In Christianity, for some reason, there’s a lack of real understanding and proper application to words that have meanings that supersede the actions of those involved. I mean, there are those who say one thing and do another. I know we all fall in that same categorical pit but some have a tendency to exceed beyond control. I don’t know why they’re on the planet and I’m not quite sure how long they’ll be hanging out here but I do know it makes me sick!
Being a Christian is hard enough, if you know what I mean? Having to deal with those low lifes, who have zero respect by adding disconcerting and condescending to their potion! Those three words, disrespect, disconcerting and condescending, will kill a nation. But as Christians, which is the title we fall privy to seem to be typecast or pigeonholed into a category that we wished we were not. It’s not always easy feeling Christian. It’s not easy doing the right thing and having to deal with those around us who make it almost impossible to focus and get a balance. It’s just not easy to have the fray of losers compound the task for us who want to achieve!
As humans we need to get amped up on occasion while there are also moments when we need those to encourage and invoke something special our way. It’s okay to have someone motivate us to a higher standard. I want that in my life! Those qualities maybe hard to find but worth the search!
Don’t get hung up on those who ramble endlessly for hours with no purpose or reason. It’s one thing to have to deal with those who are either looking for money or trying to sell you the farm that you don’t want. That’s a hard bit to follow, if you know what I mean? I would say to those who are experiencing the onslaught of verbal hype in a spiritual overtone of ramble on a daily basis, to take stock in one word that will revolutionize your life. That word is mute. So simple, so easy and so attainable! Being quiet, shutting your mouth and removing your foot is the best way of living and dealing with those who don’t know how to have self-control with their motor mouth. It’s the tongue that kills a nation. It can wipe out every good and acceptable way of life, as we know it. Don’t forget, to keep your mouth closed, most of the time, even if you feel like getting a gun to settle the matter at hand!
